Root Yourself Before You Reach

May Reflection: Deeply Rooted, Steadily Growing

Everyone wants growth.
But growth without roots does not last.

Before God expands your life, He often deepens it. He teaches you consistency before visibility. Faithfulness before fruitfulness. Character before increase.

This matters deeply in your younger years. It is tempting to chase fast outcomes, but the wiser path is to let God establish you first. A rooted life can handle pressure. A rooted life can survive change. A rooted life can grow without falling apart.

May is not asking you to become more impressive.
It is asking you to become more grounded.

Scripture (NIV):
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him...”
— Colossians 2:6–7

Grace in Action
What is rooted in God can grow with strength.
