Open Hands, Open Heart

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” — Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)

The Posture of Generosity

Reflection

Let’s strip it down to the essentials, Graceful One: generosity doesn’t start with your wallet — it starts with your posture. Your heart posture. Your faith posture. The quiet, internal shift that says, “God, I trust You more than I trust my own grip.”

When your hands are open, your heart is open.
When your heart is open, heaven can move.

We often hold things tightly — money, time, opportunities, energy — thinking we’re protecting ourselves. But tight fists can’t receive. God invites us into a rhythm where what we release creates space for what He longs to pour in. And here’s the paradox the world can’t wrap its head around: when you refresh others, God refreshes you back — and He doesn’t measure with teaspoons.

This week, let God stretch your faith. Notice where your fists clench. Notice where fear tries to run the show. And then, breathe. Release. Receive. There’s blessing in the flow.

Prayer

Lord, teach me to live with open hands and a willing heart.
Make generosity my natural response, not out of pressure, but out of trust.
Fill me again where I’ve poured out.
Refresh me as I refresh others, and let every act of giving reflect Your love.
Amen.

Heart Check

Where am I holding tightly out of fear instead of trusting God to refill what I release?
