What God Has Written for You Will Not Miss You
My dear grace friend,
Before we go any further into this new year, I want you to pause with me for just a moment. Not to plan. Not to fix. Not to figure anything out. Just to sit here—heart open, shoulders relaxed—and remember that you are deeply known and intentionally held by God. These words are written to you the way I would write to someone I love: slowly, thoughtfully, and with care. Take what you need, and let the rest rest.
There’s a quiet question many of us carry into a new year, even if we don’t voice it out loud:
What if I missed it?
The opportunity.
The calling.
The moment God once opened that maybe you didn’t recognize in time.
Let me speak to that fear plainly and gently, because love tells the truth without raising its voice:
God’s will for your life is not fragile.
What God has written concerning you does not depend on perfect timing or flawless obedience. His purpose is not undone by hesitation, uncertainty, or seasons where you simply did the best you could with what you knew. The God who authors your life is not waiting for you to fix it—He is faithfully guiding it.
You were never meant to chase purpose as though it could outrun you. God’s purpose moves with intention, not urgency. And what He has determined for you will unfold at the right time, in the right way, without you forcing it.
If things feel slower than you expected, or quieter than you imagined, do not assume something has gone wrong. Some seasons are not about progress that can be measured, but about trust that is being strengthened. God often works most deeply in places we cannot yet see.
Nothing meant for you will miss you.
Not the calling.
Not the provision.
Not the relationships.
Not the assignment.
And nothing meant to pass you by will accidentally attach itself to your life.
So rest here for a moment. Let go of the anxiety that whispers you should be further along. You are not late. You are being led—carefully, intentionally, and with great love.
A Prayer for Trusting God’s Timing
Lord, help me release the fear that I have missed something meant for me.
Remind my heart that Your will is secure and Your plans are sure.
Teach me to trust You in seasons that feel quiet or slow,
and to rest in the truth that You are never delayed or distracted.
Strengthen my faith to believe that what You have written for my life
will unfold in Your perfect time, without striving or fear.
I place my trust in You today.
Amen.
As you move through the days ahead, I hope you carry this truth gently with you: you are not held together by your own effort, but by grace—steady, intentional, and sufficient. May you walk forward this week settled in God’s purpose, unbothered by comparison, and anchored in trust. I’m so grateful to share this space with you, and I’ll meet you right back here next Thursday for another moment of grace.
With love and faith,
Grace Amara
