When Your Mind Won’t Turn Off
Sleep | Deep Renewal
The hardest part about rest isn’t always the body.
It’s the mind.
The replaying.
The worrying.
The “what if” thoughts that grow louder in the silence.
You lie there, exhausted… but wide awake.
Here’s what most people get wrong:
You don’t silence your mind by forcing it quiet.
You calm it by giving it somewhere safe to land.
Write it down.
Pray it through.
Release it instead of rehearsing it.
You don’t have to solve everything tonight.
Some things are meant to be carried into the morning—with clearer thinking and renewed strength.
So tonight, let your mind loosen its grip.
Not everything needs your attention right now.
Rest anyway.
Night Prayer:
God, quiet the thoughts that won’t settle. Help me release what I cannot control and trust You with what’s ahead. Give me peace that allows true rest tonight. Amen.
