Be Still & Remember

“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

Soul Reflection
Stillness begins with remembrance. Before the striving, before the noise, before the need to fix or figure everything out—God already is. Stillness is not retreat; it is return. It is the quiet decision to stop wrestling for control and rest in the truth that God reigns, fully and faithfully.

January invites us back to the sacred pause. Not to escape responsibility, but to realign our hearts. When we are still, we remember who God is—and who we are not. He is exalted. He is sovereign. And we are held.

Guided Prayer
God, I stop striving today. I loosen my grip on what I cannot control and choose to trust You instead. Quiet my heart, steady my thoughts, and help me remember that You are God—and You are good. Be exalted in my life as You are in all the earth. Amen.

Stillness Practice
Set a timer for two minutes. Sit quietly with your feet grounded. Breathe slowly and repeat in your heart: God is in control.

Rooted Affirmation
I release control and rest in God’s sovereignty.
