Rest for the Weary Heart

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Soul Reflection
Weariness settles in quietly. It builds through responsibility, caregiving, disappointment, and unseen labor. God does not scold the weary; He invites them closer.

Stillness becomes holy when it is an act of obedience—when we choose rest because God calls us to it. Rest is not earned by exhaustion; it is received by trust. When we come to Jesus with our burdens, we discover that rest is not an escape, but a gift.

Guided Prayer
Jesus, I bring You my tired heart. I lay down the burdens I’ve been carrying alone. Teach me to receive the rest You freely offer and to trust that You are enough for today. Amen.
